Asked Questions
Extreme Performance Lubricants -
Environmentally Friendly & Non-Toxic
Military Question: On which weapons systems are Mil-Comm's
lubricants authorized for use? Answer: Mil-Comm's
lubricants are authorized for use on all medium-caliber
crew-served, U.S. Navair and U.S.M.C. weapons, including: M 61A2,
M-2, M-197, GAU-17, M-240 and M-60. U.S.M.C./U.S. Army: M3P
(Avenger), M-134 and M-19. Navsea: Mark 38, Mark 75. U.S.A.F.:
M61A1, GAU-2C, GAU-19, ALS, UALS, MAU-12. Additionally, a long
list of special ops and security forces throughout the services
use TW-25BŪ on small arms
Question: How can I place an
order? Answer: Call Mil-Comm directly at 1-888-947-3273 for
IMPAC or other Government orders.
Firearms Question: Is TW-25BŪ a
Teflon lubricant? Answer: Teflon is Dupont's brand name and
design for a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) particle. TW-25BŪ is
based on a proprietary PTFE-based technology. Mil-Comm's particle
is smaller and spherical in shape. Additionally, TW-25BŪ is
formulated like no other material in the world, giving it
exceptional special properties.
Question: What makes
TW-25BŪ better? Answer: Many firearm experts agree that
TW-25BŪ and its sister formulas deliver superior performance when
compared to any other lubricant protectant in the world. From
operating temperatures and corrosion prevention to excessive load
carrying and extreme pressure, TW-25BŪ is the ultimate all-purpose
lube. And, it's non-toxic
Question: Is it all right to
continue to use my regular solvent spray? Answer: If you
want to clean the weapon with a product like Gun Scrubber or
Hoppe's #9, that is ok. However, once you use TW-25BŪ, you will
have minimal heavy buildup, so aggressive solvents are less
necessary. After spraying a solvent on gun parts, you will want to
remove solvent residue, which by nature counteracts synthetic
lubricants. We recommend that you follow the application of the
solvent by wiping the parts with a cotton swab containing 90%+
isopropyl alcohol. This will remove solvent residue. Then, allow
the parts to dry. Finally, apply one of Mil-Comm's superior
lubricants.
Fishing/Boating
Question: Where and how do I apply the lubricant
to my reels? Answer Follow the reel manufacturer's
instructions on disassembling your reel, which will note key
lubrication points. Use Reel SaverŪ Cleaner to clean parts and
emulsify organics. Wipe off pre-existing material from reels with
a clean, dry cloth. Then, apply modest amounts of Reel SaverŪ
grease or Reel SaverŪ oil to reels. A little goes a long
way.
Question: What's better, Reel SaverŪ Grease or Reel
SaverŪ Oil? Answer Reel Saver grease and Reel SaverŪ Oil
are nearly identical in performance. We recommend using Reel
SaverŪ Grease in exposed areas and Reel SaverŪ Oil for
hard-to-reach points.
Question: Is Reel SaverŪ good for
conventional big game reels too? Answer Yes, Reel SaverŪ is
good for all reels. However, if you are accustomed to a lubricant
with the thick consistency of traditional gear grease, our Reel
SaverŪ HG (heavy grade) is 50% more dense than Reel SaverŪ grease.
Reel Saver HG adheres exceptionally well to big game reels, while
it delivers all of the benefits of Reel SaverŪ
grease.
Question: Is Boat SaverŪ good for electrical
connectors? Answer Yes, Boat Saver acts as an exceptional
corrosion inhibitor on electrical connectors as well as providing
excellent lubricant on all kinds of moving parts on boat and
trailer.
Industrial
Question: What difference can Mil-Comm's
lubricants make on machinery performance? Answer:
Mil-Comm's technology delivers superior lubrication to all parts
thereby reducing friction significantly and allowing for cooler
running of moving parts, especially under extreme pressure and in
load carrying conditions. TW-25BŪ also uniquely prevents galvanic
corrosion between dissimilar metals. TW-25BŪ's superior
lubrication qualities contribute to preventing downtime and to
extending the life of machine
parts. |
